Obituary

SCOTTI, Jean Lillian - Peacefully at her residence, with her husband Frank at her side, on Wednesday, February 13th, 2019 in her 89th year. Daughter of the late Harold and Alice Thurston. Dearly beloved wife of Frank G. Scotti. Loving mother of Susan (Barrie) Welch, Peggy (Dan) Dale, and Bobbi-Ann (John) Whelan and Nana to John and Jason. Step-mother of Angeli Kent, Gary (Debbie) Scotti, and Paul (Diane) Scotti. Grandma Jean to Dejzana and Kijana Scotti, Joshua and Jeremy Logan and Justin Brix. Aunt to John Bannerman, Jane and Cathy. Predeceased by sister, Patricia Bannerman. Jean was a member of Christ Church, Belleville, and Life Member of Belleville Hospital Auxiliary where she served for several years on the Auxiliary Board and convened the Auxiliary Gift Shop. Jean was also a member of the CNIB where she brailed books for the blind before brailing became computerized. She was also a member of the Bay of Quinte Yacht Club enjoying boating and gardening. The Funeral Service will be held at the STEELE FUNERAL HOME , Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, (613-968-2273) Belleville on Wednesday, February 20th, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. with the family receiving friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment at Belleville Cemetery. There will be a reception at the Bay of Quinte Yacht Club following the Interment. If desired, Memorial donations to the Belleville General Hospital Auxiliary or the Quinte Humane Society would be appreciated.13326490
